We skinned from Mill Creek Canyon up to Gobbler's, and skied down the Cabin Run and Pole Canyon. The new snow just covered the infamous rain crust and made for some good turns.

Having not skied on real backcountry touring gear in powder for three years---Gatineau park nordic skiing does not count---I was a bit rusty. This led to a wipeout and a ski hitting me in the chin. After being hit in the face, I remembered how to ski better, and my turns started to look a bit more like Ben's:
